My current practice consists of small, colorful gouache paintings and larger monochromatic woodblock prints. Using only basic shapes to build abstract forms that hint at person or place, I play with structure, transparency, and illusion. In this body of work, I attempt to minimize evidence of the free hand while still suggesting humanity, atmosphere, and humor.
